Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of the figure. Here, he has probably sketched the figure of a woman, dressed in a robe. The fluid handling of the line delineates the contour of the figure with smudged strokes suggesting the modelling of the body and the facial features, which have been rendered in an impressionistic manner.
