Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. Here he has rendered the sketch of two men sitting on the floor along with their belongings. The fluid handling of the line suggests the modelling of the body and the smudged pencil strokes highlight the facial features, sparing much detail.
