Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. Here he has rendered a sketch of a man, wrapped in a blanket. The fluid handling of the line suggests the modelling of the body and the smudged pencil strokes highlight the facial features.
