Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of the figures. In this sketch, Nandalal has executed a quick line drawing of a child standing along the bullock cart amidst a rural landscape. He has rendered the forms in a few, effortless pencil strokes, depicting their demeanour.
