In this postcard, Nandalal sketches a pair of ducks in slender yet dark lines, detailing only the feathers as is often done in ornamental art. As per the inscription, this drawing is a reproduction from the book "Indian Painting under the Mughals, A.D. 1550 to A.D. 1750" by Percy Brown, the British architectural historian and early scholar of Mughal painting.
