In the above postcard, Nandalal has sketched two swans in action, rendered with lyrical and flowing thick outlines, defining the contours of the bodies. As the inscription suggests, this line drawing is probably a reproduction from one of the plates from 'Journal of the Indian Society of Oriental arts'.
