In this postcard, Nandalal sketches a swan, rendered in sweeping, thick and dark outlines, defining the contours of the voluminous body of feathers. This line drawing, as per the inscription, is a rendition from the article, "Note on the Paintings at Tirumalaipuram", pages 72-74, by C. Sivaramamurti for the Journal of the Indian Society of Oriental Art, published in 1936.
