In this postcard, Nandalal sketches a floral scroll, interspersed with medallions that enclose the motif of a swan, from the 11th century Hindu temple of Rajarani in Bhuvaneshwar (Odisha). As the inscription suggests, the image has been reproduced from the book, 'A History of Fine Art in India and Ceylon, from the Earliest Times to the Present Day' by British art historian, Vincent. A. Smith.
