In this postcard, Nandalal sketches several renditions of a decorative swan, in swift and rhythmic outlines, defining the contours of the forms. As the inscription suggests, the images have been reproduced from the book, 'Illustrations of Metal Work in Brass & Copper, Mostly South Indian' by Edgar Thurston and Velayuda Asari and W.S. Hadaway.
