Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above sketch the artist has depicted a woman sitting probably on a wooden plank. The composition is rendered with linear, continuous pencil strokes delineating the graceful posture and suggesting the demaenour of the woman.
