Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above sketch the artist has depicted two women and a man seated in different profiles. The composition is rendered with linear, fluid pencil strokes delineating the basic contours and suggested the demeanour of the subjects.
