Nandalal has here studied a female figure rendered in delicate, flowing lines, accentuating her slender body. The image has been reproduced from part of the mural that depicts the Mahajanaka Jataka from cave no. 1 of the Ajanta caves. This particular scene shows prince Mahajanaka served by attendants at his royal toilet, before the coronation ceremony.
