Nandalal has here studied the stance of a woman holding a small pair of sticks in her right hand and a tray of flowers in the left, rendered in dark, linear outlines. The drawing has been reproduced from part of the panel, 'A palace scene', from cave no. 2 of the Ajanta caves. The mural depicts a dance and music festival in the palace of a Naga (serpent) king.
