Nandalal has here studied the posture of a male figure, probably a Brahman implied by the hair bun and the monastic robe. He appears to be asking for alms, as suggested by his gesture. The line drawing is roughly rendered in firm and bold strokes. As per the inscription, the drawing has been sketched from cave no.2 of the Ajanta caves.
