Here Nandalal sketches a quick and simple line drawing of a female and a male in a pensive mood, (probably attendants), part of the story of the birth of Buddha, etched from cave no. 2 of the Ajanta caves. This particular mural depicts two scenes, the interpretations of Maya's dream by the Brahmans and the birth of Buddha in the Lumbini gardens.
