Nandalal has here studied the stance of a richly ornamented female figure. Reproduced from part of the panel, 'Votaries Bringing Offerings', from cave no. 2 of the Ajanta caves, the subject is rendered in bold, fluid lines that accentuate the contours of her slender form. The mural depicts votaries of various ethnicities assembled together, with offerings for the boddhisattva padmapani.
