Nandalal has here sketched the stance of a man, simply rendered in linear, strong strokes of the pencil. The drawing has been sketched from part of the panel, 'Votaries bringing offerings', from cave no. 2 of the Ajanta caves. The mural depicts votaries of various ethnicities assembled under a concrete structure, supported by long slender pillars.
