Nandalal has here studied the sitting posture of a female figure, as she looks thoughtfully at her right hand. The figure is rendered in effortless flowing lines, defining the contours of the feminine form. As per the inscription, the drawing has been sketched from cave no. 2 of the Ajanta caves.
