Nandalal has here rendered the sketch of queen Subhadda, reproduced from part of the mural that depicts 'The Shad Danta Jataka' or 'Story of the Six-Tusked Elephant' from cave no.10 of the Ajanta caves. The figure has been delineated in a pensive mood, seated on a stool, rendered in fine, repetitive pencil strokes.
