Nandalal has here studied the stance of a male figure, probably a votary adorned with ornaments and fine drapery. The artist delineates the figure with great fluency as curvilinear pencil strokes flow easily through the contours of the figure. The drawing has been reproduced from part of the mural- 'The Buddha and A Group of Votaries' from cave no. 9 of the Ajanta caves.
