Here, Nandalal has studied the stance of a female figure, probably a princess as in the way she holds the requisite of the toilet indicates a person accustomed to luxury and refined surroundings. She is looking into a mirror which she holds in her left hand while in the right probably a flower. Her emotional reactions are further illustrated by the way in which she has crossed her legs. As the inscription suggests, this particular sketch has been reproduced from part of a mural from cave no. 17 of the Ajanta caves.
