Nandalal has here rendered the sketch of a warrior, as indicated from the sword fastened around his waist. The figure seems to be in a posture of obeisance. The drawing, executed in brisk, fluid strokes has been reproduced from part of the mural 'The March of The Army- The Simhala Avadana' from cave no. 17 of the Ajanta caves.
