Nandalal had a keen fascination for studying the architectural traits particular to different regions and also observed the modifications in them with the change in terrains. In the sketch above, he studies a door of a Bidur's house as the inscription suggests, executed in soft, linear strokes of pencil that depicts the contours of the form while, shading gives three-dimensionality to the structure.
