×
Nandalal preferred drawing from life, often sketching outdoors with the subject being life, nature studies, landscapes, figure drawings and animals. He also had a keen fascination for studying the architectural traits particular to different regions and also observed the modifications in them with the change in terrains. In the sketch above, he has depicted a serene waterscape visible from an arched window of 'Rajmahal' as the inscription suggests and delineated it in short strokes of the pen, that add vitality to the composition.
