Architectural Design from Sketch Book No.6 10476 Nandalal Bose Pen and ink on paper

×
Nandalal preferred drawing from life, often sketching outdoors with the subject being life, nature studies, landscapes, figure drawings and animals. He also had a keen fascination for studying the architectural traits particular to different regions and also observed the modifications in them with the change in terrains. In the sketch above, he has depicted an entranceway, rendered in soft, linear pen strokes, sparing much detail.
