Nandalal had a keen fascination for studying the architectural traits particular to different regions and also observed the modifications in them with the change in terrains. In the sketch above, he has studied a section of an architectural structure where two human figures are also been depicted on different location. He has executed this sketch in soft pencil strokes that delineates the contours of the forms while shading provides three-dimensionality to the structure.
