Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above sketch the artist has rendered a fragment of an architectural structure, with linear, bold pencil strokes. The fluid yet firm lines and the subject are suggestive of the spontaneity of Nandalal's sketches.
