A Girl with Water Lily (Autumn), 1937 4844 Nandalal Bose Brush and ink on paper

×
Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. In this drawing, he has rendered a girl holding a flower, executed with the use of subtle contouring lines that suggests the modelling of the body and the fine pencil strokes highlights the facial features adding grace and life to the composition.
