Man in a Landscape, 10.06.1938 4918 Nandalal Bose Print - Dry Point

×
Nandalal explored a wide range of traditions to arrive at his unique visual language and has left behind a large corpus of works in a wide variety of styles, expressions and techniques. In the above print the artist depicts a man sitting under a tree, rendered with sharp, thin lines incised in a copper plate and transferred on the plain surface with the use of black ink. The firm yet fluid strokes suggest the contours of the form, creating depth in the composition.
