Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above sketch the artist has rendered a seascape, with two trees and few human figures standing in the foreground and a boat in the background. The composition is executed with regulated patterns of dabs and dashes of colours articulating the prancing waves and suggesting the volume of outpouring of water.
