Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above sketch the artist has rendered a flood scene in which a man is carrying a lamb, followed by few animals. The composition is executed with regulated patterns of dabs and dashes of colours articulating the prancing waves and suggesting the volume of outpouring of water.
