Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. In this sketch, he has depicted two Bual performing under the tree, executed in fine, fluid strokes of ink, defining the contours of their body. Only a few strokes of ink have been employed to render the bushes in the background.
