Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above postcard, the artist has rendered a Peepal tree surrounded with a concrete platform. The bulbous tree is executed with coarse, repetitive pencil strokes, adding vigour to the composition.
